Seems like everyone is addicted to design shows, cooking networks, and family blogs but few address it all and even fewer with a slant on a sustainable lifestyle.

I am a photographer, artist, practicing interior and furniture designer for 14 years, a mother since 2008 and in the kitchen at the age of 5. (OK I hated cooking till I was 20, but did get my first cookbook at that age.)

I don’t think I know it all, but want to share my ideas, experiments and finds with others who want to make a change, and share a passion for creating a better community even in small ways.

Dinah McFarlane is 5th generation New Orleanian (New Orleans native), who called Arizona home for 16 years and is now living in beautiful Northern California. She and her husband bought a craftsman style fixer with a never ending to do list, run a design firm and try to keep up with their daughter, escape artist cat and a needy dog.
